Tuatara report

The spiny back has many predators like cats and dogs. You would think that the tuatara will escape but they are easily caught. Stoats and ferrets will do anything to get a delicious dinner of this reptile. Kingfisher and moreporks are also enemies. When it spots one of these predators the tuatara shakes its tail to distract them and get away without a scratch. The tail grows back slowly, smaller and sometimes a different colour. Oscar
